2025年7月5日より、LAID BUGにて、K.T. KOBELとSly Morikawaによるデュオエキシビジョン「Fade Into You」を開催します。

ロンドン出身のアーティストK.T. KOBELは、現在オランダ、アムステルダムを拠点に活動しています。KOBELは、記憶のダークサイドやトラウマ的情景を主題に扱い、エアブラシを用いて、人間の記憶や欲望といった複雑な心情を掘り下げる具象表現に取り組んできました。これまでSELVAギャラリー（2025 / アメリカ・ニューヨーク）やSEMESTER9（2024 /オランダ・アムステルダム）、PLANX（2024 / イタリア・ミラノ）など、世界各国で展示を開催。LAID BUGでも、これまでに2回ソロエキシビジョンを開催しました。

シドニーと東京を拠点に活動する写真家Sly Morikawaは、性（エロス）やサブカルチャー、自身の記憶やルーツを主題に作品を発表しています。Morikawaの作品に特徴的な淡いパステルカラーやコントラストの低いモノクロの色調のイメージは、光と闇、静寂と混沌、美と緊張といった、人間が持つ二面性をフラットに映し出します。これまで4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art（2025 / オーストラリア・シドニー）、Salt and Pepper（2024・2023 / 東京）などで展示を開催しました。

本展では、「欲望」というテーマを軸に、2人のアーティストの交錯する視点を展開します。バラバラの記憶や、映画のワンシーンのように断片的に提示されるイメージは、エアブラシ特有のソフトな質感の絵画と、霞がかったような写真の対話によって、欲望がどのように形作られ、歪められるかを探究します。本展に合わせて、2人の共作による新作のZINEも販売します。この機会にぜひご高覧ください。

From July 5, 2025, LAID BUG will present “Fade Into You,” a duo exhibition by K.T. KOBEL and Sly Morikawa.

K.T. KOBEL is an artist from London who is currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He has been dealing with the dark side of memory and traumatic scenes, using airbrush to delve into the complex emotions of human memories and desires in his figurative works. He has exhibited internationally at venues such as SELVA Gallery (2025, New York, USA), SEMESTER9 (2024, Amsterdam, Netherlands), and PLANX (2024, Milan, Italy), and has held two solo exhibitions at LAID BUG.

Sly Morikawa is a photographer based in Sydney and Tokyo whose work explores themes of eros, subculture, and her own memories and roots. She has exhibited at 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art (2025, Sydney, Australia) and Salt and Pepper (2024 and 2023, Tokyo, Japan).

This exhibition will develop the two artist’s intersecting perspectives around the theme of "desire". The images, presented in fragments like disparate memories or a scene from a movie, explore how desire is shaped and distorted through a dialogue between paintings with a soft texture unique to airbrushing and hazy photographs. In conjunction with this exhibition, a new zine co-created by the two artists will be available for purchase. Please take this opportunity to view the exhibition.

2025년 7월 5일부터 LAID BUG에서는 K.T. KOBEL과 Sly Morikawa의 듀오 전시”Fade Into You”를 개최합니다.

런던 출신의 아티스트 K.T. KOBEL은 현재 네덜란드 암스테르담을 기반으로 활동하고 있습니다. KOBEL은 기억의 어두운 면과 트라우마적인 장면을 주제로, 에어브러시를 사용한 구상적 표현을 통해 인간의 기억과 욕망이라는 복잡한 심리를 탐구해 왔습니다. 지금까지 SELVA 갤러리(2025 / 미국 뉴욕), SEMESTER9(2024 / 네덜란드 암스테르담), PLANX(2024 / 이탈리아 밀라노) 등 세계 여러 도시에서 전시를 열었으며, LAID BUG에서도 두 차례 개인전을 개최한 바 있습니다.

시드니와 도쿄를 기반으로 활동하는 사진작가 Sly Morikawa는 성(에로스), 서브컬처, 자신의 기억과 뿌리 등을 주제로 작품을 발표해 왔습니다. Morikawa 특유의 옅은 파스텔 톤과 낮은 대비의 흑백 이미지들은 빛과 어둠, 정적과 혼돈, 아름다움과 긴장감 등 인간 내면의 이중성을 평면적으로 담아냅니다. 지금까지 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art(2025 / 호주 시드니), Salt and Pepper(2023–2024 / 도쿄) 등에서 전시를 진행하였습니다.

이번 전시에서는 ‘욕망’을 중심 주제로, 두 작가의 교차하는 시선을 펼쳐 보입니다. 흩어진 기억과 영화의 한 장면처럼 단편적으로 제시되는 이미지들은, 에어브러시 특유의 부드러운 질감의 회화와 안개 낀 듯한 사진의 대화를 통해 욕망이 어떻게 형성되고 왜곡되는지를 탐색합니다.또한 전시와 함께 두 작가가 협업한 새로운 ZINE도 발매될 예정입니다. 많은 관심과 관람 부탁드립니다.
